I loved Knight Rider when it came out in 1982 and I still watch it today through my own set of Knight Rider DVD's. The book David wrote about his life is most sickening. He says he is close to God but yet he told in the book of his many nights with women. I am a borned again Christian and yet I have sinned but each time I have gave into sin I feel so ashamed that I don't want to do it again. Hebrews 10:29 reads: How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him and who has insulted the Spirit of Grace? If he truely loved his God and the Son Jesus Christ he would try hard to stay away from sin and cry out to God for his sin of Lust. David keeps right on making sinful choices but he does not put the blame where it belongs. He has a big fat ego. I know he is a Catholic and I have read the Catholic Bible so I know its reads the same as my Bible. David is really stuck on him-self. I wish David were like John Schneider. There is a man who truely loves God and the Son Jesus Christ and really works at his marriage. John has no big fat ego. John is a goodlooking man, has had great sucess in his career and one of the most beautiful Christians that I look up too. No I would not buy this book again.

This is a surprisingly interesting book if you want stories about Hasselhoff's days on Knight Rider and Baywatch. He also goes into detail about his European music career and famous people he has known (Liberace?). It even has an episode guide and list of recordings. There are enough good stories in the book to make it worth reading.
But he fails to adequately address his personal problems. He likes to blame the women in his life for his inability to keep relationships and glosses over his drinking issues. He doesn't do well at self-analysis--why would this guy who says he had an ideal childhood with a loving family (including four sisters) feel so insecure with women and be unable to handle life without using drugs or alcohol?
Another problem is that this was originally published in England and has distracting British spelling and punctuation. Couldn't St. Martin's have sprung for a proofreader for the American edition? It looks like they rushed it to take advantage of his success on America's Got Talent.
He says he dedicates himself to the children of the world and has many examples of going out of the way to help those in need. He has a very positive attitude about his career. But he seems to have his priorities out of line and forgets to take care of his wife and kids at home. This was written in 2006 and now we know that his daughters are trying to straighten him out. There is no indication here of why his is still so childlike and unable to grow up, even though it makes for fun reading.

Even as a long-time fan, I can't easily justify $15 for a Kindle edition! I'm of the mindset that boycotts MOST Kindle releases over $10... can't bring myself to say "all"! ;-)

David Hasselhoff is a very good actor, an intuitive and interesting guy who became a very well known celebrity all over the world.Knight Rider was the best show for the kids especially and Baywatch is the greatest tv series for all ages but mostly for guys.David is more than just the average actor.He's got charisma and charm.

I was always a fan of the original Knight Rider tv series so I picked up an autographed copy of this book. It's very well written and quite entertaining. The Hoff's personality comes through and the book reads like he's talking with you. Very inspirational and highly recommended.
